評分標準

IELTS測試分Listening、Reading、Writing及Speaking四大項目。各項目皆會獨立記分，而最後再以四個分數合計，除以四而得一平均分數，所以在成績單上會列出四項目之個別分數及平均分數。

IELTS的滿分為9分，若成績達至Band 9，其英語能力與純英語系國家的人民相同。反之，若只有Band1，則表示不具有英語能力。每所學術機構要求的最低入學成績各不相同。一般來說，申請學校至少應具備Band 6.0~6.5或同等程度的入學標準。

◎ IELTS階段評分成績
下面的表格是IELTS的考試成績和它們的解說，獲英國文化協會、IDP協會和劍橋聯合測試協會採用，它提供一個指示牌指示每一個測驗的程度。

9 Expert user.	Has fully operational command of the language；appropriate，accurate and fluent with complete understanding.
	極佳使用者，能將英語運用自如；適切，精確，流利並能完全理解。
8 Very good user.	Has fully operational command of the language；with only occasional unsystematic inaccuracies and inappropriateness. Misunderstandings may occur in unfamiliar situations. Handles complex detailed argumentation well.
	非常良好使用者，能將英語運用自如，只是偶爾有不連接的錯誤和不適切處，在不熟悉的狀況下可能出現誤解，可將複雜細部的爭論掌握的相當好。
7 Good user.	Has operational command of the language though with occasional inaccuracies inappropriateness and misunderstandings in some situations. Generally handles complex language well and understands detailed reasoning.
	良好使用者，有能力運用英語，雖然在某些情況下有時會發生不精確、不適當和誤解。大致可將複雜的英語掌握的不錯，亦理解詳細原委。
6 Competent user.	Has generally effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies，and misunderstandings. Can use and understand fairly complex language，particularly in familiar situations.
	合格使用者，大致能有效地運用英語，雖然有不精確、不適當和誤解發生。能使用並理解相當複雜的英語，特別是在熟悉的情況下。
5 Modest user.	Has partial command of the language，coping with overall meaning in most situations though is likely to make many mistakes. Should be able to handle basic communication in own field.
	適度使用者，可部份運用英語，在大多數情況下可應付全盤的定義。雖然可能犯下許多錯誤，但在本身領域內應可掌握基本的溝通。
4 Limited user.	Basic competence is limited to familiar situations. Has frequent problems in understanding and expression. Is not able to use complex language.
	有限使用者，只限在熟悉的狀況下有基本的理解力，在理解與表達上常發生問題，無法使用複雜英語。
3 Extremely limited user.	Conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations. Frequent breakdowns in communications occur.
	極有限使用者，在極熟悉的情況下，只能溝通理解一般定義。
2 Intermittent user.	No real communication is possible except for the most basic information using isolated words or short formulas in familiar situations and to meet immediate needs. Has great difficulty understanding spoken and written English.
	偶爾使用者，除非在熟悉的狀況或及時的需要下，才能使用單字或簡短的片語傳達最基本的訊息。一般來說，不能有真正的溝通能力，在英文的說寫方面有重大的障礙。
1 Non user.	Essentially has ability to use the language beyond possibly a few isolated words.
	不能使用者，本質上無法使用英語，可能可說幾個單字，經常會溝通不良。

寫作技巧

貼心提醒

建議考生至IELTS官方網站下載Handbook，裡面提供詳盡地考試相關資訊。

若您選擇的是紙筆測驗，您要注意書寫的速度、文章字數與字跡工整。

考試時，先將關鍵字圈選起來，讓自己在書寫作文時能更貼近主題。

文章段落分明且每段僅提出一個觀點。

避免使用縮寫、過於口語的表達方式或其他不正統的語言（例如：方言、俚語…等）。

切勿抄襲題目說明或平日練習的作文範本。

如果您一分鐘可以打15個以上的英文單字，且正在選擇要紙筆測驗還是電腦測驗，我會建議您選擇電腦測驗。因為您可以先擬草稿於電腦上，不但使用方便且能節省您寶貴的時間，也能有效地組織文章內容。

如何有效分配考試時間：

【Task1】

花2分鐘時間去組織架構您的文章，並確認文章字數是否在150字左右。雖然多寫並不會扣分，但是多寫會花費較多時間也會增加錯誤率的發生。

◎

組織文章架構的時間不要超過3分鐘，保留足夠的時間來撰寫作文。

◎

最後保留3分鐘的時間來檢查您的文章，因為您應該還有未完成的部份必須在作答時間到之前完成。

【Task2】

花5分鐘時間去組織架構您的文章，並確認文章字數是否在250~300字左右。雖然多寫並不會扣分，但是多寫會花費較多時間也會增加錯誤率的發生。

您的文章必須提出3~4個論點，而每個論點約莫60~70個字左右。

◎

組織文章架構的時間不要超過5分鐘，保留足夠的時間來撰寫作文。

◎

最後保留5分鐘的時間來檢查您的文章，因為您應該還有未完成的部份必須在作答時間到之前完成。

得分秘訣
※根據IELTS的Handbook，以下四點可以幫助您獲得好成績：
（1）切合文章主題
（2）注重文章連貫性與一致性
（3）使用多樣化的辭彙
（4）使用文法正確的句構

【Task1】
1.	文章架構需包含前言、文章主體及結論三個段落。
2.	文章論述盡量提供具體的訊息，避免使用含有強烈個人立場的字眼，例如：” I think…”、” In my opinion...”、” I believe…”等。
3.	表達切合主題的資訊，避免過於零散的敘述。
4.	根據圖表提供的訊息給予完整的敘述，切勿直接引用題目的字句。
5.	記得在文章的最後做出有力的結論。
6.	以下為IELTS Task1常出現的題型：
	書信種類 ◎投訴信 ◎請求信 ◎建議信 ◎尋找失物信 ◎邀請信圖表種類 ◎折線圖 ◎圓餅圖 ◎長條圖 ◎時程表 ◎流程圖 ◎示意圖 ◎同時出現以上兩種圖表

【Task2】
1.	文章必須切合主題且明白地闡述立場或提供解決方案，這樣作文能獲得較高的分數。
2.	以下為IELTS Task2常出現的申論題題型：
	◎	同意或不同意 / 支持或反駁 / 選擇A或B / 同時論述兩方意見考生應決定一個或兩個支持的觀點並加以闡述，且需適時地提出反對意見。
	◎	針對題目所給的問題提出解決方案考生應結合主題提出不同的例證與解決方法並加以論述。

一般訓練組寫作（General Training Writing） The General Training Writing test is 60 minutes long. It has two writing tasks of 150 words and 250 words. Below are samples of Task 1 and Task 2. (Note that candidates for the General Training module do a different Writing test to the Academic module.)
Writing Task 1
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. You rent a house through an agency. The heating system has stopped working. You phoned the agency a week ago but it has still not been repaired. Write a letter to the agency. In your letter 1. introduce yourself 2. explain the situation 3. say what action you would like the agency to take Write at least 150 words. You do NOT need to write any addresses. Begin your letter as follows: Dear.......................,
Writing Task 2
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic: Some businesses now say that no one can smoke cigarettes in any of their offices. Some governments have banned smoking in all public places. This is a good idea but it takes away some of our freedom. Do you agree or disagree? Write at least 250 words. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

學術組寫作（Academic Writing） The Academic Writing test is 60 minutes long. It has two writing tasks of 150 words and 250 words. Below are samples of Task 1 and Task 2. (Note that candidates for the Academic module do a different Writing test to the General Training module.)
Writing Task 1
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task The graph below shows the different modes of transport used to travel to and from work in one European city in 1960, 1980 and 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. Write at least 150 words.
Writing Task 2
You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic: It is inevitable that as technology develops so traditional cultures must be lost. Technology and tradition are incompatible - you cannot have both together. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. Write at least 250 words.
